    Today, your car will be delivered at the hotel. Post breakfast, drive to Hampi, the UNESCO Heritage Site that was the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Your first stop - Chitradurga is a 4 hours drive from Bengaluru. The little town is popular for its namesake fort where Obavva, the wife of a soldier, single handedly fended off Hyder Ali's soldiers when they encroached the fort. Once in Hampi, head straight to the Virupaksha Temple, known for its elaborately carved pillars and domes. Later, settle in for the day.

Follow the Tungabhadra and you will reach the gorgeous Vijaya Vittala Temple and later, the Lotus Mahal which was the former residence of Hampi royalty.

    Today, meet the guide at Hampi's landmarks like the Queen's Bath, the Purandaradasa Mantapa, the stone bridge over Tungabhadra, Anjaneya Hill (Lord Hanuman is believed to be born here) and the Elephant's Stable, where the king kept his favourite elephants. Post tour, head back to the resort and kick back for the day.

On your way to Mysore, you will pass Nagamangalam (popular for its 12th century Saumyakeshava Temple). Meet a guide at Srirangapatnam, for a tour around this historic town known for the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple and the beautiful Daria Daulat Palace.

    The road to Munnar is via Tiruppur and Avinashi. Other important locations en route are the Anamudi, the highest mountain peak in South India, and the stunning Kannan Devan Hills, popular for its tea plantations. The drive is through a narrow, labyrinthine ghat section, but one that's snap-worthy at every bend.

    Few places are better to start your journey into God's own country than Munnar. The surrounding is serene, air crisp, and whether you want to take an arduous trek, walk through the quaint tea plantations, or simply kick back, you won't be disappointed.

    We suggest that you spend your leisure day at the Lockhart Tea Factory for a guided tour. If you are in the mood for adventure, you could stop by the National Adventure Academy for some rock-climbing. Make a grub-stop at Raspy's (for Kerala Style Porottas and Biriyanis) or Saravana Bhavan (for traditional South-Indian fare).You could also opt to Echo Point, the view from here is completely worth the trek up. Besides the Carmelagiri Elephant Park is also on the way, which is a must visit for its Elephant safaris if you're out with your little ones. Wildlife enthusiasts must head to the Eravikulam National Park, where you will find the Nilgiri tahr, Nilgiri marten and birds like White Bellied Shorting and Kerala laughing thrush. You could also visit Tata's Tea Museum, which is close to the National Park.

    The day is at leisure or you could hire a bicycle, a cheap, fun and easy way to explore the surroundings through the winding roads. We suggest that you ride to the Attukad Waterfalls - a lovely picnic spot - and watch the Muthirappuzhayar plunge into the rocks. On the way back, enjoy a stop at the lush Hydel Park.

Your next stop could be the St. Mary's Church, known for its painting of St. Mary that is believed to have powers to make miracles come true. Drive down to Alleppey, which is just an hour away from Kumarakom.
