  • How is my rental rate calculated?

    Car rental rates are calculated on a 24-hour basis and cover unlimited mileage for one driver. If you are splitting the drive with your co-passenger, the car rental company needs to be informed in advance.

  • What is the minimum age requirement for renting?

    The driving-age law of the country you are travelling to will apply

  • Is my regular driver's license sufficient when I am renting a car / motorcycle abroad?

    Generally, a driver's license, passport and an International Driving Permit issued in the driver's name from their home country is required.

  • What are the various types of insurance policies that I need to take?

    Damage Waiver - Collision damage waiver is a type of protection used when hiring a car. It limits how much a car-rental company can claim from you for repairing certain parts of the rental car if they get damaged while the vehicle is in your possession.
    Personal Liability (including accidents) -It provides compensation in the event of injuries, disability or death caused solely by violent, accidental, external and visible events.

  • What documents do I need when collecting the rental car?

    A valid driving licence, International Driving Permit (in case of international trips) and an ID proof (Passport/ Aadhaar card) is required while taking possession of the car. Original documents are to be shown. In case Driving Licence / Passport / Aadhaar card fail the necessary validations, the car rental company reserves the right to refuse the car handover.

  • Is there an agreement / document I need to sign?

    Yes, there is a short agreement that one needs to sign while picking up the car.

  • Do you provide pick-up and drop services for the cars / motorcycles?

    Pick-up and drop services for the car / motorcycle are available on some trips. Unless mentioned in the trip description, the car / motorcycle needs to be picked up from the rental company.

  • Could I pick up the car at one destination and drop it off at another?

    Yes, it can be done at an extra cost. Please speak to our sales representative at the time of booking.

  • Are parking, fuel, parking tickets and tolls part of the package?

    Overheads like fuel, tolls, parking tickets etc. are not included.

  • What is the fuel policy?

    As per the fuel policy:

    • The car will be delivered with a full tank and needs to be returned in the same manner.
    • Customer pays for the fuel charges based on the usage.
    • If the car is returned with less than a full tank of fuel, the car rental will charge for the differential fuel.
    • The customer can either pay the differential amount directly by cash / card at the time of returning the car, or the same will be deducted from the security deposit.
    • The assessment made by the car rental driver on the differential fuel amount will be final.

  • Will there be a security deposit for the car / motorcycle?

    Yes, there will be a security deposit on the rented car / motorcycle. The security deposit may vary upon the category of the car / motorcycle. Please check this in the Terms and Conditions section of that particular drive or ride. The payment for the same should be made at the counter using a credit card in your name (driver's name).

  • What cars / motorcycles are offered?

    Car - India Car –Rest of the World Motorcycle India Motorcycle–Rest of the World
    Hatchback - Maruti Suzuki Swift or similar Intermediate: Hyundai Elantra or similar Royal Enfield Classic and Himalayan or similar Harley-Davidson, BMW, Honda (based on the availability in a particular market)
    Sedan - Maruti Suzuki Dzire or similar Premium: Toyota Camry or similar Harley-Davidson, Ducati and Triumph or similar
    SUV - Hyundai Creta or similar Standard SUV: Ford Edge or similar
    Luxury - Mercedes-Benz C-Class or similar Sports: Ford Mustang or similar

  • What if I return the car / motorcycle late?

    You need to inform the car rental in advance for rental extension. An extension of up to 1 hour is permissible if informed, with no extra charges. If the extension exceeds 1 hour, extra charges will be applicable for every hour including the extension. For further information, please check the Terms and Conditions of the particular drive / ride.

  • Can I get my own car / motorcycle for a trip?

    Yes, you can drive your own car / motorcycle on certain trips, but not all.

  • Can I choose a car / motorcycle of my preference?

    We do offer that option on certain drives / rides. However it depends on the availability of the car / motorcycle at each destination.

  • Do you provide riding gear for motorcycle trips?

    We do provide riding gear for some itineraries. Please check the trip inclusions. However, we recommend you to carry your own gear for the sake of comfort.

  • Is riding gear compulsory?

    Yes, riding gear is compulsory for all motorcycle trips. You could either get your own gear or rent / buy them if available at the destination.

  • Will I have to carry a first aid kit?

    No, a basic first aid will be provided. However, you must carry your own prescribed drugs.

  • Can I drive / ride solo?

    Yes, you can drive / ride solo if you opt for an individual Self-Ride / Drive trip. But a partner will always make the drive / ride better.

  • Can I choose to ride as a pillion?

    The option is available for some rides. However, you need to have a partner who is up for riding.

  • Does the cost of the itinerary include pillion riders as well?

    No, the cost is applicable only for the rider. However, the cost for pillion riders is considerably cheaper.

  • Who makes the arrangements for my visa?

    We make all the visa arrangements at an extra cost.

  • Which documents do I need for my drive / ride?

    This depends on the country you are riding in. Please check individual drives / rides -'Things to carry' section, which explains this point.

  • Can I ask for a backup vehicle and guide on my Self-Ride / Drive trip?

    Yes, you can request for both. However, these services will be provided at an additional cost.

  • Who pays for the fuel?

    For all Self-Drive / Ride trips, you pay for the fuel. A full tank is given to you and while returning the car / motorcycle, you must tank it up.

  • Are hotel accommodations and meals included in the itinerary?

    All drives / rides specify hotel accommodations and meals included as per the itinerary.

  • What if the car / motorcycle breaks down during a trip?

    If any vehicle breaks down, you can contact the rental company's Roadside assistance team and help will be sought in 40-60 mins. Roadside assistance covers different services like on-site assistance, flat-tyre repairs, towing, dead battery recharge/replacement, loss of key, fuel delivery up to 5 litres, cab assistance and more.

  • What should I do in case of a car accident?

    Call the rental companies 24x7 toll-free helpline number mentioned in our rental agreement and a backup car will be sent at the earliest. Meanwhile, you are requested to stay safe until help arrives. We also advise you to take as many pictures of the vehicle and its surroundings as possible. This will prove valuable in legal and insurance proceedings.

  • What are the things I need to check while taking delivery of the car / motorcycle?

    Please check the following details.

    • Check the vehicle for scratches or dents.
    • Take pictures of any damages (if any) at the time of delivery and inform the rental services about it.
    • Check the fuel gauge and take a picture for future reference.
    • Check the car's documentation is up to date. Below are the documents that must be checked.
    • Vehicle registration
    • Insurance documents
    • PUC

    In case you find any issues with the above, please notify the dispatch manager immediately.

  • Can we have an additional driver / rider and do we have to pay additionally for it?

    Yes, you can have an additional driver / rider. You only need to inform us and provide a copy of his / her driving license before you start your drive / ride. There will be an additional driver fee for the same.

  • Can I upgrade my vehicle during my Self Drive holiday?

    No, there is no provision made to upgrade a vehicle during a trip. Only one car can be selected throughout the trip.

  • Can I upgrade my hotel during or before my Self Drive holiday?

    You can upgrade your hotels, cars etc, but for that speak to our sales representatives at the time of booking.

  • What is included in these packages?

    The inclusions vary from package to package. Kindly check the inclusions mentioned in the package for more details.

  • Is there an extra charge for optional tours?

    Yes, every optional tour has an extra charge which is mentioned in the respective packages.

  • Can I select the optional tour after the trip commences?

    No, you will have to select and book the optional tour before the trip commences.
