Drive to Kawarau Bungee Bridge, Gibbston Valley Winery and Arrowtown.
Today is a day for adventure: gobble up breakfast (you may want to keep it light) and drive down to the world famous Kawarau Bungee Bridge, often referred to as the mother of all bungees. Get yourself harnessed and plunge towards the clear waters of the Kawarau River. (This activity is optional).
Thereafter, drive down to the Gibbston Valley Winery to see its vineyard as well as the process of wine-making.
Later, drive down to Arrowtown, a historic town that came into existence during and on account of New Zealand's gold rush. The Arrow River flows besides the town, hiding rich gold reserves under its cool, flowing waters; you can try your luck scouring the river bank for gold nuggets (we wouldn't be too optimistic) or visit the gold shop to buy artistic gold jewellery.
Note: Drivers should abstain from the wine-tasting at Gibbston Valley Winery.
